Solid Waste Engineer - Project Manager at Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC): As a Solid Waste Engineering Project Manager for CEC, you will be involved in the following responsibilities. Responsibilities The design, analyses, permitting and preparation of drawings and technical specifications and construction period services for solid waste management facilities, including coal combustion residual (CCR) facilities, and industrial facilities; General civil/environmental engineering duties; Design of all aspects of landfills Double composite liner systems; Leachate conveyance and storage facilities; Stormwater conveyance and storage facilities; Landfill gas collection/treatment systems; On-site roadways, and ancillary buildings and structures; Develop permit application documents, contract drawings, specifications and estimates for landfills, transfer stations, landfill gas to energy facilities, and recycling facilities; Preparation of engineering design reports, feasibility studies, and solid waste management plans; Review of projects for compliance with plans/specifications; Strong client and project management skills. Qualifications Good communication, leadership, planning and mentoring skills; Proficiency with Microsoft Office; and an attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture. 10-15+ years experience in the design, permitting, and document preparation of waste disposal facilities; Some experience with AutoCad design software; Ability to coordinate the regulatory agency review process; B.S. in Civil, Geotechnical, or Environmental Engineering (M.S. a plus); Professional Engineering (P.E.) Licensure or ability to achieve P.E. within the next two years; Understanding of business principles of consulting projects and related project delivery tools. We have experts!
