Job Description As a Security Officer - Unarmed Government Patrol in San Francisco, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. You will work as part of a team, using a shift-claiming platform to view and pick up open shifts based on your availability, providing a flexible schedule with opportunities for growth. This position is unarmed and requires driving; a valid driver’s license is required. Position Details Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $24.10 / Hour Schedule: Wed 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM; Thur 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM What You’ll Do Use our scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites Support operations across environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service Be prepared to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise Responsibilities Provide customer service by carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies; participate in emergency response when appropriate Respond to incidents calmly and in line with established protocols Conduct regular and random patrols to deter unauthorized activity and identify issues Observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, or unusual occurrences Interact professionally with the public, employees, and visitors Complete required security-related reports and documentation Follow all instructions from management and on-site leadership What We’re Looking For Availability across various days and shifts Reliability and adaptability to different post assignments Desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available Minimum Requirements At least one year of security-related experience Valid driver’s license (meets Allied Universal driver policy) Guard Card or license preferred Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles High school diploma or equivalent Background check as required by law; successful drug screen where permitted Licensing requirements may apply by state/local regulations Why Join Us Flexible Scheduling: Open shifts aligned with your availability Career Growth: Path to full-time roles and paid training Smart Tools: Real-time shift visibility and claiming Full-Time Benefits: Health insurance, 401(k), and more for full-time employees Employee Perks: Discounts at restaurants, entertainment venues, and more Closing Allied Universal is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
