Our Business Is Split Into Two Key Areas

• Skyports Drone Services uses drones to streamline logistics, capture data, and enhance operational efficiency, with a focus on rural deliveries, surveying, surveillance, and maritime services.
• Skyports Infrastructure plays a vital role in the Urban Air Mobility ecosystem, designing, building, owning, and operating vertiports that enable eVTOL operators to take off and land in cities around the world.

Overview

This role supports complex BVLOS operations in congested air and ground environments. Flights will be pre-planned, and you will work within established procedures, but this environment requires stronger judgement and previous BVLOS experience. The RP will act as the person-in-the-loop (PITL), manage the GCS, maintain airspace and ground picture awareness, and support operational planning.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Flying

• Conduct BVLOS missions in complex, congested areas within approved procedures.
• Maintain real-time situational awareness across airspace, ground risk, and GCS systems.
• Follow all ConOps, permissions, mitigations, and safety procedures.
• Carry out all pre-flight and post-flight actions.
• Manage data capture, mission monitoring, and escalation routes.

Safety and Compliance

• Maintain competency and engineering authorisation standards.
• Support incident reporting, safety analysis, and corrective actions.
• Ensure all flight documentation is complete and accurate.

Technical and Operational Support

• Assist with TOLP reviews, mission planning, and site assessments.
• Support ROCs when missions are flown remotely.
• Liaise with ATC or site authorities when required.

What You Need

• FAA Part 107.
• Proven BVLOS flying experience (mandatory for PANYNJ).
• Experience flying in congested or controlled airspace.
• Strong situational awareness and risk management skills.
• Able to work calmly during complex flights.
• Good technical understanding of GCS workflows.
