We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Tax Manager to join our dynamic and fast-paced team. This is a permanent hybrid role that offers the flexibility of both remote and in-office work. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of clients, overseeing tax engagements, and providing expert guidance on complex tax issues. You will play a pivotal role in our accounting and finance team, helping to drive the success of our business through your in-depth knowledge of tax law, general accounting principles, and strong leadership skills.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring all tax engagements are completed accurately and on time.
• Prepare a wide variety of complex tax returns for both individual and closely-held businesses.
• Conduct complex tax research using a variety of resources and platforms, ensuring all advice given is in line with current tax law.
• Supervise, coach, train and mentor Staff and Senior Accountants, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
• Manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet strict deadlines.
• Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure the smooth running of the business.
• Use strong interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Use proficiency with GAAP, Lacerte and/or ProSystems FX, and Excel to carry out tasks effectively and efficiently.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree with a major or concentration in accounting, tax, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressively responsible experience with a public accounting firm.
• Strong general accounting skills.
• Experience in preparing a wide variety of complex tax returns.
• Experience with tax engagements for both individual and closely-held businesses.
• Proficiency with tax law and complex tax research using available resources and platforms.
• Proficiency with GAAP, Lacerte and/or ProSystems FX, and Excel.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Proven ability to supervise, coach, train and mentor Staff and Senior Accountants.
• CPA certification is must.
