Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Heavy Duty Mechanic/Operator to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to work in a diverse role that combines mechanical expertise with seasonal farm operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide variety of farm and heavy equipment
• Manage routine servicing tasks independently
• Organize and maintain shop inventory and parts
• Track and document repairs and maintenance electronically
• Operate farm equipment during seeding, harvest, and trucking seasons
• Opportunity to train and mentor an apprentice in the future

Qualifications & Skills:

• Heavy duty mechanic experience (apprentice or journey person is an asset)
• Strong diagnostic and problem solving skills
• Ability to self manage workflow and prioritize tasks
• Proficiency with computers and mobile devices for tracking maintenance records
• Organizational skills with attention to detail
• Willingness to operate farm equipment as part of the seasonal farming operations team
• 1A license is considered an asset
• Welding ticket/experience is considered an asset
• Strong teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with others

Wage: Starting at $22-$40/hour
