Global Supply Chain Manager, Electro-Mechanicals

This role is based at Sesame. Base pay ranges from $193,000 to $275,000 per year. The specific compensation will reflect the candidates experience, education, and fit with the position.

About the Role

As the Electro-Mechanical Global Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for sourcing strategy, supplier relationships, and cost management for electromechanical components. You will align sourcing with Sesames objectives of total cost of ownership, time to market, supplychain performance, technology, quality and compliance. The role demands strong leadership, organization and the ability to influence and manage crossfunctional relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of longterm sourcing strategies for electromechanical components (cameras, cables, connectors, batteries, rigid/rigidflex, etc.)
• Explore and recommend new or advanced technologies and keep stakeholders apprised of market trends.
• Lead new component sourcing and supplier qualification initiatives.
• Influence key supplier technology roadmaps to align with Sesame product roadmaps.
• Implement strategies to drive supplychain flexibility and risk mitigation.
• Negotiate and drive component costs to meet margin targets.
• Plan and deliver capacity planning for ramp and mass production.
• Negotiate and minimize excess and obsolescence components.
• Drive quarterly business reviews with key supplychain partners.
• Manage the Approved Vendors List (AVL) for assigned commodities.
• Negotiate contracts with supplychain partners to align with Sesames business model.
• Build effective relationships internally and externally; interface with executivelevel management.
• Work with manufacturing partners to resolve part shortages or quality issues affecting production schedules.
• Support OEM supplier initiatives including annual cost reductions, VMI/JIT, leadtime reductions, favorable payment terms, etc.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Operations or Supply Chain Management.
• 7+ years of experience as a GCM/GSM in a fastpaced, highvolume consumer electronics company.
• Minimum 7 years of direct experience managing electromechanical commodities.
• Knowledge of the electromechanical component industry, processes, technologies and key suppliers.
• Demonstrated experience in managing cost negotiations/reductions and buffer strategies.
• Experience in supplier evaluation/selection, costmodeling and contract negotiations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with experience influencing senior executives and supplychain partners.
• Leadership and crossfunctional teamwork experience.
• Experience working with overseas JDMs and component suppliers.
• Excellent analytical, projectmanagement and reporting skills.
• Willingness to travel internationally as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong background in Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience developing sourcing strategies for electromechanical components in regions with favorable tariff structures.
• Knowledge of emerging technologies and advanced materials in electromechanical components.
• Multilingual skills (Mandarin, Japanese or other APAC region languages) to enhance supplier engagement.
• Familiarity with customs regulations, global trade compliance and import/export documentation.
• Experience in a startup or highgrowth environment with ability to scale supplychain operations quickly.
