Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A rewarding opportunity is available for an experienced Special Education Teacher to support students from Kindergarten through 12th grade in a dynamic school environment located in Goldendale, WA. This contract position runs from January 2026 through June 2026 and offers the chance to work with a diverse student population across self-contained classrooms, resource rooms, and special day programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students requiring special education services.
• Deliver tailored instruction and support for students in grades K-12, including elementary through high school levels.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and families to promote academic and social growth.
• Monitor and document student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
• Maintain a structured, positive classroom environment that meets the needs of all learners.

Qualifications:

• Active State License in Special Education is required.
• Experience working with special education students in self-contained and resource settings preferred.
• Ability to manage classrooms spanning early childhood through high school.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues.

Work Schedule and Location:

• Based in Goldendale, WA.
• 30 to 37.5 hours per week over 5 days.
• Contract term from January to June 2026.
