Job Purpose:
We are searching for a driven and meticulous Design Electrical Engineer to become part of our Project Engineering team. The right candidate will be tasked with facilitating comprehensive project execution by producing design deliverables, ensuring adherence to engineering standards, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and promoting technical excellence in the design of electrical systems. This position is perfect for an individual who flourishes in a dynamic project setting and is enthusiastic about providing innovative engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Reviewed customer electrical specifications and prepared project information sheets to initiate the design process.
  • Supported customers by addressing technical inquiries and managing drawing submittals throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinated with internal departments, including purchasing, production, and material management teams, to ensure successful project execution.
  • Coordinated design activities, schedules, and the approval process of engineering documents during project execution.
  • Examined RFQs and project specifications to select suitable electrical components and equipment.
  • Coordinated technical queries and led technical meetings (TBE).
  • Performed commercial and technical risk analysis and created mitigation plans.
  • Operate computer-aided engineering and design software and equipment to create, review, and revise transformer designs and technical drawings, applying electrical engineering principles.
  • Prepare and study transformer technical drawings and specifications to ensure designs and installations conform to standards, electrical codes, and customer requirements. 
  • Oversee transformer production and assembly processes to ensure they are completed accurately, on time, and within budget. 
  • Coordinate transformer manufacturing, assembly, testing, documentation, and shipping activities to ensure compliance with specifications, electrical codes, and customer requirements. 
  • Compile data and prepare engineering reports on transformer design, production, and performance to support projects. 
  • Design, implement, and improve transformer components and systems by applying electrical engineering knowledge of electromagnetic flux, dielectric materials, and insulation coordination. 
  • Develop budgets by estimating labor, material, and manufacturing costs for transformer projects to ensure efficient resource allocation. 
  • Investigate and resolve customer technical issues related to transformers, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions. 
  • Evaluate and test transformer components, materials, and products from vendors and competitors to ensure quality and compatibility with project requirements. 
  • Perform detailed electrical calculations to establish transformer manufacturing, operation, and installation standards and specifications. 
  • Inspect completed transformer assemblies and review production procedures to ensure conformance with design specifications, quality standards, and electrical safety requirements. 
  • Review and support transformer layouts and integration for power plants, substations, and distribution systems, ensuring proper alignment with project and customer requirements. 

 
Position Requirement:
Education

  • Must have Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related filed.
  • Bilingual in Korean is preferred; fluency in both written and spoken Korean is essential for internal and external communications.
  • Master’s degree preferred.

Experience:

  • Proven experience with CAD software for electrical design and Project Engineering.
  • Experience in a relevant industry (e.g., Power transformer, switchgear, Power System, automotive, robotics, consumer electronics,) is a plus.


Skills/Knowledge:

  • Technical Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of electrical design principles, schematics, and standards (IEEE/IEC).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, or similar design software.
  • SAP or equivalent ERP system knowledge.
  • Familiarity with project documentation (SLDs, wiring diagrams, BOQs, etc.).

  • Engineer Intern Certification Preferred.
