\n\nJob Details:
\n• Patient ratio of 6:1 for days, nights, and weekends
\n• Care for adult and geriatric patients on a 24-bed telemetry unit
\n• Manage patients with diagnoses including chest pain, CAD, diabetes, COPD, stroke, hypertension, and cardiac arrhythmias
\n• Perform pre and post angiogram/angioplasty care (no sheath pulls), assist with procedures including EGD, colonoscopy, and wound debridement
\n• Work with telemetry monitoring equipment, chest tubes, and wound vacs
\n• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, administer cardiac drips without titration
\n• Float required with agency first pull policy
\n• Weekend coverage required with pre-approved time off allowance of two
\n• 12 hours of orientation provided
\n• Must maintain compact or Louisiana license upon submittal
\n• Required certifications: BLS (AHA required), telemetry experience mandatory
\n• Preferred certifications: ACLS, NIH stroke scale
\n• 2 years of acute care experience required
\n• Unit accepts first-time travelers
\n• Must live over 65 miles from facility address
\n• Hurricane emergency team assignment possible during hurricane season (June 1 - November 30)
\n• COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions only)
\n• Epic charting system experience preferred
