Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PACU position in Illinois requiring 2 years of recent acute care PACU experience and a current IL RN license.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work in the PACU unit of an acute care hospital setting
• Schedule consists of four 10-hour day shifts per week from 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
• Every other weekend coverage is required, totaling two weekends per month
• Mandatory floating to other units or facilities as needed, within a 50-mile limit
• Use of Cerner electronic medical record system
• No block scheduling or special scheduling requests permitted
• Scrub color is navy blue and scrubs are not provided
• Team-based floating model will be used if assigned outside of primary specialty
• No home units; clinicians may be assigned throughout various hospital units
• Strict compliance procedures, including completion of lab work within 72 hours of offer acceptance
• Maximum of 5 days requested time off, with no more than 2 consecutive days allowed
• No time off permitted on weekends, holidays, or the day before or after a holiday
• Parking is available for $5 per entry in a garage adjacent to the hospital
• Orientation compliance deadline is the Monday before start date

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active IL RN license required at the time of application
• Minimum 2 years of recent PACU RN experience in an acute care facility
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination required prior to start date
• Locals accepted and preferred; candidates must reside within a 75-mile radius of the facility
• Pending licenses are not accepted
