Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ER RN with a MD or compact license and prior travel assignment for a 13-week night shift contract.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Hospital Emergency Department setting
• Night shifts, four 12-hour shifts per week (19:00–07:30)
• Assignment duration is 13 weeks
• Required patient ratio is 1:4
• Unit sees at least 125 ED patients per day
• May be required to orient and work charge shifts
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• May care for patients with COVID-19
• Scrub color is purple, not provided by facility
• Charge experience is preferred and travelers may work in a charge role
• Team environment with support for travelers with charge orientation
• Two professional references from a supervisor within the past two years are required for consideration

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active MD or compact state RN license required
• Minimum two years of recent ER experience required
• At least one prior travel assignment required
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS
• Candidate must have worked in an ED setting with at least 125 patients/day within the last 8 months
• Must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with at least 80% overall and 100% on lethal rhythms
• Strong skills in triage, IV starts, and phlebotomy required
• Expert prioritization and organizational abilities needed for fast-paced ER environment
• Flu vaccine required
