The Terminal Operations Supervisor co-leads (with 2 to 3 other supervisors) a dynamic team of 14 Terminal Operations Officers who assist in the day-to-day management of the Jeppesen Terminal, Concourses, Federal Inspection Services (FIS) area, and airport roadways, including issues involving passenger flow, customer service, security, international arrivals, certain airport infrastructure and facility issues, roadways, concessions, and airline operations. Terminal Operations Officers also monitor compliance with airport and federal regulations to ensure the safety and security of the traveling public and airport employees. Responsibilities include supervising, coordinating, and resolving operational problems, emergencies, and other unusual situations in the main terminal and concourses in coordination with Denver Police, Denver Health Paramedics, Denver Fire, contract security personnel, and TSA; leading staff in monitoring passenger screening operations and enforcing airport security requirements; monitoring and resolving passenger flow issues; supervising the Federal Inspection Services area; coordinating with airlines, federal agencies, ground handlers, and airport personnel to provide assistance and customer service; conducting inspections of tenant and concession areas; assisting in planning and implementation of snow emergencies and other operational contingencies; preparing and submitting work orders for maintenance; coaching and mentoring staff; developing and maintaining Standard Operating Guidelines; liaising with project engineers and inspectors; and assisting with VIP events and budget recommendations. The position requires flexibility to work 4 days per week, 10 hours per day, with shifts including Day, Swing, and irregular shifts, and being on-call for significant snow events and emergencies. The role demands strong leadership, communication, problem-solving skills, and experience in Airport/Airline Operations, Airport Communications, Public Safety, or Military. A Bachelor's Degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, Political Science, or related field and three years of relevant experience are required.
