Position Overview:
Sustainable Living Builders is looking for a reliable and motivated Solar Installer to join our expanding team. As a Solar Installer, you will be instrumental in bringing clean, renewable energy solutions to our clients’ homes and businesses. Key Responsibilities:  

  • Assist with the installation of residential and commercial solar photovoltaic (PV) systems.
  • Work safely and efficiently on rooftops and other elevated structures using proper fall protection and PPE.
  • Support licensed electricians during system wiring and electrical connections.
  • Load, transport, and set up solar equipment and materials at job sites.
  • Follow site plans and schematics to ensure accurate placement and system layout.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas, tools, and vehicles.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Uphold all safety and quality standards while adhering to local building codes.

Qualifications:

  • Approximately 2 years of experience in solar installation or a similar hands-on construction role.
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems and solar panel technology.
  • Ability to climb ladders, work on roofs, and lift 60–80 lbs as needed.
  • Clean driving record and valid driver’s license.
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Preference given to applicants residing near Sonoma or surrounding areas.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and equipment.
  • Comfortable with frequent standing, climbing, and working at heights.
  • Tolerance for outdoor work in sun, wind, or cold.
