ManTech seeks a part-time Sign Language Interpreter to support the Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory, Science & Technology Division in Stafford, VA

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Provide interpreting services to individuals who are deaf/hard of hearing in an effective and appropriate manner and in the preferred mode established by the individual.
• Participate in meetings and conversations to transmit spoken English into American Sign Language (ASL) and/or gestures for communication between deaf and hearing individuals to enhance the quality of interaction between deaf and hard of hearing individuals.
• Ensure relevant information is conveyed to relief interpreters prior to ending a session or when appropriate.
• Training other interpreters as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree and at least 10 years of relevant experience or a Master's Degree and 6 years of relevant experience.
• National Association of the Deaf (NAD) III or better is required
• Must be able to communicate fluently in Spoken English and American Sign Language

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior DoD/USMC experience, experience in the Intelligence Community

Clearance Requirements:

• Current active TS/SCI clearance

Physical Requirements:

• The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations
