JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Sr. Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for the development, design, and implementation of mechanical systems in our new MEBL electron-beam lithography system. Lead the work with external contract design and manufacturing companies. Be part of our internal core engineering team and directly support our ramp to mass production.
This Senior Mechanical role requires at least 5 years’ experience doing hands on design and build of semiconductor equipment, with background in vacuum systems, vacuum chamber control, and wafer handling.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead design and implement of complex mechanical systems related to all Multibeam products
- Establish subsystem specifications, requirements and ensure adherence to them during design
- Effectively interface and manage contract design and manufacturing partners
- Directly support the design, build, test, and deployment of new products through precise system modeling, tolerance analysis, and application of CFD/FEA
- Lead continuous improvement of older systems based on data collection and ranked analysis
- Work with operations to improve the manufacturability of existing products
- Strict adherence to company standard practices for document revision and change management.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
- B.S. or higher degree in mechanical engineering with min 5 years industry experience in semiconductor equipment design, 7+ years
- Expert level capability with 3D modeling of complex equipment. SolidWorks/EPDM .
- Direct Experience in minimum 3 of these areas: Semiconductor Capital Equipment, vacuum chamber/sub system design, robotics/motion control, wafer handling, electronics packaging, CFD/FEA
- Demonstrated track record releasing equipment on time from Engineering to Manufacturing as sole contributor of one or more key sub systems.
