An opportunity is available for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to support students in an elementary school setting. This full-time, one-on-one position is designed for the 2025-2026 school year, focusing on facilitating communication for students who are Deaf or hard of hearing within the general education classroom. The role requires a dedicated professional who is passionate about enhancing students' learning experiences through effective interpretation.

Qualifications:

• Certified Sign Language Interpreter
• Minimum of 3.5 EIPA score
• Experience working in educational settings, particularly with elementary students
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teaching staff and other professionals

Location:

• Wabash, IN

Responsibilities:

• Provide interpretation services for students who are Deaf or hard of hearing in the classroom
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure effective communication and support students learning
• Attend planning meetings and participate in the development of individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Adapt interpretation techniques as needed to meet the diverse needs of students
