• Monday – Friday: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
• Saturday: 7:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Position Overview

Our client, a large scrap metal and recycling company , is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Scale Operator/Yard Assistant to join their team in Riviera Beach, FL. The ideal candidate will be bilingual (English/Spanish), computer literate, and customer-focused, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate the truck scale to accurately weigh incoming and outgoing materials.
• Record and process weight tickets, material data, and customer information in the computer system.
• Verify load accuracy and ensure compliance with company and safety procedures.
• Communicate clearly with drivers, customers, and yard personnel.
• Maintain accurate and organized daily logs and reports.
• Inspect scale equipment and report any malfunctions or inconsistencies.
• Assist with general yard or office tasks as needed.
• Uphold a clean, safe, and professional work area.

Requirements

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
• Computer literacy and basic data entry skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• Dependable, proactive, and able to multitask under pressure.
• Ability to perform light general labor when needed.
• No cash handling required.
