Job Description

Overview Cloud SynApps is a fast-growing consulting and systems integration firm that focuses on cloud applications, primarily on Salesforce-based platforms. Cloud SynApps has its major operations in Canada, the USA, and India. We’ve actively built our Salesforce practice and have quickly grown into one of the strongest Systems Integrators within the Salesforce Public Sector space. While Public Sector is our passion, we are also expanding into other verticals, including Insurance and the Telcom space. We are one of the largest Systems integrators for Vlocity (recently acquired by Salesforce) and Clariti Solutions (erstwhile BasicGov Applications) and have implemented these solutions for several municipal, provincial/state, federal, and public sector clients. Our consultants and associates have deep industry expertise and live by our core values. We also invest heavily in developing unique Salesforce-based solutions and accelerators, which, in our experience, are required by our clients. We believe in full transparency in whatever we do for our clients and internally, working with our associates. We are quickly growing, and that brings additional responsibility to treat everyone with respect and dignity. Integrity is one of our most important and foundational values. We follow ethical principles and always acknowledge the value each associate, partner, and client brings to the table. Overview We are seeking a skilled Salesforce Developer with 4–6 years of experience to join our team on a contractual basis in the US . The role is pivotal in designing, developing, and implementing Salesforce solutions that align with evolving business needs. The ideal candidate will possess strong Salesforce platform expertise, hands-on development experience, and proven capabilities in system integrations, including ESRI Connector . This role involves close collaboration with stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-quality Salesforce implementations. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and customize Salesforce solutions using declarative tools such as Process Builder, Workflows, and Validation Rules. Develop Apex classes, triggers, Visualforce pages, and Lightning components to extend Salesforce functionality. Implement and optimize integrations between Salesforce and external systems, including ESRI Connector , APIs, web services, and middleware platforms. Design and implement geospatial integrations between Salesforce and ESRI ArcGIS platforms using ESRI Connector, REST APIs, and data mapping strategies. Optimize performance and scalability of ESRI-related solutions, including large map data sets. Collaborate with GIS and data teams to ensure accurate representation of geospatial data within Salesforce. Collaborate with business analysts, administrators, and developers to gather requirements and align solutions with business objectives. Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and deployment activities to ensure high-quality, reliable releases. Troubleshoot and resolve issues within Salesforce applications by identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and team members. Document technical specifications, design decisions, and implementation details. Requirements 4–6 years of hands-on Salesforce development experience, ideally in Agile project environments. Strong proficiency in Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning (Aura & Web Components), with adherence to Salesforce best practices. Experience with Salesforce ESRI Connector for geospatial integrations. Hands-on experience integrating Salesforce with ESRI ArcGIS using ESRI Connector (required). Knowledge of geospatial concepts (layers, feature services, map services, geometry operations). Experience with Salesforce Clouds: Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Community Cloud. Experience with Experience Cloud (formerly Community Cloud) portals, particularly for map-based or self-service solutions. Practical experience with Salesforce integrations and external system connectivity. Exposure to GIS/Geospatial technologies or certifications in ESRI products is highly desirable.
