Job Responsibilities Under limited supervision, oversees public information, marketing strategy, and media planning within the Office of External Affairs at the Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon Services. Develops department public relations messaging and media responses to promote improved public understanding of the Department's mission and goals. Minimum And Additional Requirements A bachelor's degree and relevant experience. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of journalistic principles, practices, and techniques of disseminating information through news media and social media platforms. Knowledge of principles and methods of planning, conducting, and supervising large-scale public relations programs. Knowledge of law enforcement and criminal justice laws, policies, and procedures. Ability to gather, organize, and present oral and written information clearly, concisely, and accurately. Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with the news media and the public.
