The Opportunity:
- Perform visual inspection of cartons for printing, die-cutting and gluing defects while feeding and packing cartons
- Report any issue or event that poses a risk to employee safety, the environment and facilities, or food packaging safety and quality
- Participate in line clearance procedures after each item is completed
- Accurately count, label, and inventory products they produce and materials coming to their work area
- Perform quality checks on the product they produce and materials coming to their machine
- Assist operators and assistants as needed
- Assist with make-readies
- Verify case count
- Execute job duties in a safe and efficient manner.
- Each person, regardless of role or position, is responsible for Food Packaging Safety and Quality and GMP
- Execute job duties in a safe and efficient manner
- Work in other areas as needed, including sorting, and Flat Packing
- Keep area in specs within all 5S requirements
- Work in a fast-paced environment. Complete tasks in a timely manner
- Follow all applicable policies, procedures, and instructions
- Participate in continuous improvement activities, corrective actions, and training
- Perform other related tasks as assigned
What You Need to Succeed:
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
- Must have the ability to perform basic arithmetic including addition and subtraction
- Willing to work overtime as needed; significant overtime may be required during busy periods
