WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

The Project Management role is an introductory opportunity for those looking to develop project management skills while actively contributing to project design and production. Working under the guidance of senior leadership, this role helps ensure project tasks are completed accurately and on schedule. This role also provides exposure to staff management by assisting with technical team oversight and resource scheduling. Additionally, this role supports proposal preparation and billing, making it an excellent stepping stone for professionals looking to grow their expertise in project execution and client management.

Once selected to join our team, you will:

  • Contribute to landscape design and production efforts
  • Assist with permitting and entitlement processes
  • Ensure project tasks are completed accurately and on schedule
  • Support project financial processes, including budgeting and billing
  • Assist in preparing proposals and related documentation
  • Engage in limited client interactions
  • Help oversee technical staff and provide support for resource scheduling
  • Perform other duties as assigned

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

KNOWLEDGE:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or other discipline-specific software
  • Familiarity with Dunaway CAD standards and PLA CAD standards
  • Strong understanding of Dunaway design standards and PLA design standards
  • In-depth technical knowledge of landscape architecture principles
  • Basic understanding of project financial and performance metrics

SKILLS:

  • Ability to manage multiple project tasks effectively
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to recognize personal limitations and seek guidance when needed

EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years of landscape design experience, including at least 1 year as a Registered Landscape Architect (RLA)
  • 8+ years of relevant landscape design experience without a degree
  • 3+ years of project management experience
  • 3+ years of client interaction experience
  • 3+ years of experience overseeing technical staff

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture, OR
  • 8+ years of relevant landscape design experience without a degree
