JOB SUMMARY Performing a critical role in the Parts Department, the Parts Sales Manager is responsible for achieving revenue and profit goals by increasing our parts influence in our markets through innovative and collaborative endeavors that meet the needs of the business, the bus industry, and our customers overall. This objective will be accomplished through the effective management of our internal and external resources as well as the utilization of our global business network and support.
SUPERVISION The Parts Sales Manager receives guidance in terms of broad goals and overall objectives and is responsible for establishing the methods to attain them. Generally, the incumbent charged with an area of work and will then be tasked to formulate policies leading to actions for this area. This does not necessarily translate to the Parts Sales Manager having the final authority to approve policy but rather the development, and ultimately the implementation, of that policy once approved by New York Bus Sales and G-Tech Leadership.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Manage direct reports to include Inside/Outside Sales Team
- Develop and maintain revenue and profit goals that are in line with business development and expectations
- Develop marketing plans and materials to be utilized for product and departmental growth
- Handle customer complaints immediately and in accordance with dealership guidelines
- Hire, train, motivate, counsel, and monitor the performance of parts sales employees and ensure all HR procedures are followed (appraisals, discipline, etc.)
- Analyze sales, payroll hours, and other expenses to maximize profit goals
- Monitor parts department employee's payroll records to ensure accuracy
- Coordinate a prompt, efficient and timely flow of paperwork
- Obtain, analyze, and utilize business intelligence from our market and our customers for departmental strategies
- Utilize CRM for documentation and maintenance of all notes, business intelligence, and market intelligence for reference
- Follow safety methods, work safely and enforce all company policies and procedures as well as governmental safety requirements, including but not limited to OSHA and DOT regulations
- Investigate employee injuries and assists in preparing injury reports
- Understand, keep abreast of, and comply with federal, state and local regulations that may affect the parts department
- Attend meetings and travel to other NYBS facilities, customer locations, seminars, workshops to perform duties as required

Requirements
EDUCATION / REQUIRED EXPERIENCE - Bachelor's degree in business management or related studies preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a parts environment required.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in sales required.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a management role is required.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE / QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS / ABILITIES - Communicate sufficiently to guide and instruct employees
- Make appropriate business decisions in accordance with the established procedures and policies.
- Use computers for record keeping, and spreadsheet data.
- Exhibit good organizational skills and detailed record keeping (attention to detail is critical).
- Demonstrate appropriate Internet usage skills, including the use of email programs and group messaging.
- Demonstrate current use of relevant Microsoft computer applications such as Word, Excel, and business programming.
- Demonstrate the ability to accomplish multiple responsibilities simultaneously while working independently to accomplish the goals of the position.
- Maintain a professional appearance that exhibits the image of the company.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Speech and hearing sufficient for regular in-person and telephone communication with all employees, vendors, customers, and other dealerships.
- Ability to write or type sufficiently to communicate to customers, vendors, and employees.
- Maintain manual hand and finger dexterity sufficient for frequent use of computer and mouse.
- Frequently lift and handle up to 25lbs.
- Occasionally lift and handle objects 26 to 50lbs.
- Occasionally lift and handle objects weighing over 100 lbs. with assistance.
- Sit, stand, walk, bend/stoop, crouch/kneel, push/pull and reach and balance sufficiently to move around parts room and shop area to access parts.
- Ability to move through the facility to observe job performance and adherence to safety guidelines. This includes climbing ladders and stairs.
- Ability to drive a vehicle on company-related business such as for travel to/from other facilities, seminars, conferences and medical facilities.
- Ability to travel to Canada for corporate training, planning, and development
Salary Description
$70,000 - $85,000 per year New York Bus Sales LLC
