Job Description

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new packaging as well as revise existing packaging, focusing on cost reduction and performance enhancements. 

• Produce samples and small production runs of prototypes using the CAD table for testing purposes, including writing and transmitting specifications as needed. 

• Enhance existing packaging with innovative solutions, which will involve conducting customer site visits and performing packaging audits at their locations. 

• Coordinate with tooling suppliers to ensure quality and efficiency. 

• Travel with sales representatives to customer locations when necessary. 
• Build strong internal relationships to support and ensure efficient and accurate responses to customers, sales, and operations departments. 

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Packaging, Mechanical Design, Architectural Design, or Prototype & Design, and experience in a CAD-related field.
• Strong verbal, written, and electronic communication skills, with the ability to work closely with internal and external customers
• In-depth working knowledge of Microsoft Office and its applications, CAD, Artios CAD, Cape Pack, Adobe Creative Suite, and/or TOPPS, as well as familiarity with CAD tables.
• Familiarity with various paperboard stocks, board grade combinations, corrugation, and printing processes.
• Experience operating sample cutting tables.
• Strong cognitive and mathematical skills
• Demonstrated ability to visualize concepts in 3D
• Detail-oriented, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
