Job Title : Material Handler

Company Overview:

Yellowfin Yachts is a renowned boat manufacturing company known for producing high-quality watercraft. We are currently seeking a skilled Boat Finisher to join our team and contribute to the final stages of boat production, ensuring impeccable finishing touches on each vessel.

Mission of Role : To facilitate the safe and efficient flow of materials and product throughout the facility, supporting production and company goals.

Job description :

Primary Areas of Responsibilities :

• Receiving
• Put away
• Storage
• Picking
• Kitting
• Line Feeding
• Cycle Counting
• Labeling
• Transporting
• Packing and palletizing
• Following processes and procedures established by leadership
• Recording of materials transactions either manually, electronically or in the ERP system
• Ensuring of material proper handling and storing in the proper locations
• Maintaining accurate inventory records
• Following 5S principles on a daily basis
• Efficiently and safely using and maintaining in good conditions material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack, etc)
• Ensure timely delivery of goods and material to production and any other departments
• Performing a daily cleaning of working area
• Respecting organizational values
• Support implementation and development of ERP
• Executing tasks in a timely manner
• Support shipping preparation as needed

Success Indicators :

• Supporting inventory accuracy and elimination of production shortages and items out of stock by performing duties as instructed
• Ensure materials and supplies are delivered to production on time, per process
• Responsible and committed - showing up on time, not leaving early, no absenteeism
• Winning attitude, respectful with peers, colleagues and leadership
• Good communication with all the organization
• Able to cope with challenges
• Effective computer skills related to the role

Required Experience & Education:

• Proven experience as material handler
• Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel, ERP experience desired
• Understanding of best manufacturing practices

Desired Experience & Education:

• Marine, automotive or aerospace background desirable
• Additional qualifications in Warehousing
• Start up / green field projects experience

• Team player, engaged and committed
• Detail oriented, hands-on mentality
