The Role:

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and digitally fluent Marketing Compliance Associate to join our compliance team. Your primary responsibility will be to review a wide range of marketing and social media content: YouTube videos, TikTok videos, X (formerly Twitter) posts, paid ads, and other public communications to ensure they meet the requirements of the SEC Marketing Rule (Rule 206(4)-1 under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940) .

This is a critical role that sits at the intersection of marketing and legal. You'll work directly with the Chief Compliance Officer and collaborate closely with legal counsel to help ensure our firm’s content is fully compliant with applicable regulations while enabling creative, compliant growth.

Key Responsibilities

Content Review & Oversight

• Review and approve marketing materials and social media content for compliance with the SEC Marketing Rule and broader regulatory standards.
• Ensure all public-facing materials (ads, videos, social posts, testimonials, performance data) are fair, balanced, and appropriately disclosed.
• Provide timely compliance feedback to marketing and content teams.

Regulatory Compliance Support

• Assist in implementing internal policies and procedures related to marketing compliance.
• Monitor evolving SEC guidance and industry best practices to inform compliance reviews.
• Maintain documentation and logs of reviewed content and approval status.

Collaboration

• Work hand-in-hand with legal, marketing, and the Chief Compliance Officer to proactively identify and mitigate compliance risks in communications.
• Support periodic audits and reviews related to marketing compliance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong understanding or willingness to learn the SEC Marketing Rule and related regulatory requirements under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940.
• Familiarity with digital marketing platforms, including social media (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, X/Twitter).
• Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational and communication skills.
• Prior experience in a compliance, legal, or marketing review role within a regulated industry is a plus especially in financial services or fintech.
• Ability to balance compliance requirements with marketing goals in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred:

• Expertise in the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 and SEC compliance frameworks.
• Experience with regulatory compliance, specifically within an SEC-registered investment adviser.
• Experience working with marketing material compliance for fintech.
