Job Description

The Mainframe Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-level applications using COBOL and related technologies. This role involves working with legacy systems and modernizing components to ensure performance, reliability, and scalability. The developer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business-critical applications and ensure seamless integration with other systems. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain applications using COBOL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, and MQ. Analyze and debug complex programs using tools such as Expeditor. Work with IMS DB and ensure efficient data handling and storage. Utilize File Aid, Stored Procedures, Endevor, CA-7, NDM, MFTS, and s-FTP for development and deployment processes. Support XML-based data exchange and scripting using CLIST and REXX. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver high-quality solutions. Ensure code quality, performance optimization, and adherence to best practices. Required Qualifications: Minimum 10 years of experience in Mainframe Application/COBOL development. At least 7 years of experience in CICS, DB2, VSAM, and MQ application development. Proficiency in debugging tools such as Expeditor. Strong understanding of mainframe utilities and tools including File Aid, Stored Procedures, Endevor, CA-7, NDM, MFTS, and s-FTP. Familiarity with XML, CLIST, and REXX scripting.
