CROWN Food Packing USA has immediate openings for safety conscious employees at its Toledo, OH location.  Crown Food places an emphasis on safety and adherence to Company standard operating procedures.  Crown is a tobacco free workplace. All positions must be flexible to work any shift including weekends. Tiered wages starting at $22 per hour with a potential top out of $27.00 per hour.

Position Overview:

\n\n

The Machine Operator starts and ends production activities at our coil coating factory in Toledo, Ohio.  The position will interact closely with all aspects of the manufacturing process from the raw material to the finished product.  This is a hands-on position that will be required to cover a variety of duties and responsibilities in this continuous operation.

\n\n

 

\n\n

Duties And Responsibilities:

\n\n

Reporting directly to manufacturing floor supervision and management, the Machine Operator responsibilities would include, but not be limited to, the following:   

\n\n

\n\t
• Operate payoff and rewind end of coil coating line
\n\t
• Visually inspect coils to make sure there are no defects in the paint or metal (trash in paint, dents, scratches, etc.)
\n

\n\n

\n\t
• Cut samples of coated coil for QC lab inspection
\n

\n\n

\n\t
• Keep work area clean
\n\t
• Participate in safety and other training programs as required
\n\t
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
\n\t
• Operate Forklift, if applicable
\n

\n\n

Minimum Requirements:

\n\n

• Strong reading and comprehension skills
\n\t
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
\n\t
• Strong mechanical skills
\n\t
• Basic computer skills a must
\n\t
• Ability to maintain a positive presence in the workplace.
\n\t
• Pass pre-employment testing, (drug test, physical and background check)
\n

Physical Requirements:

\n\n

\n\t
• While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and may be required to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl  
\n\t
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, work in non-temperature-controlled environment.
\n\t
• Flexibility and willingness to work an off shift and OT hours, possibly during the week or on weekends
