Summary TRABUS seeks a highly motivated Machine Learning Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a leader in AI and wireless technologies, we focus on solving real-world problems through innovation. The role involves leveraging machine learning algorithms and software engineering to contribute to diverse AI projects related to resource planning for ship maintenance, marine transportation, and climate/environmental informatics. The projects will involve developing models for predictive insights and analytics, spanning government and commercial domains. Responsibilities Write code to extract and pre-process training datasets, handling various data formats and APIs. Research, select, and develop appropriate ML/DL algorithms for AI problems across multiple data domains. Collaborate with the Data Science team to deliver scalable AI solutions involving LLMs, RAG, prompt engineering, computer vision, and NLP tools. Work with AI/ML and DevOps engineers to establish automated AI workflows for continuous inference and prediction. Develop validation and testing routines to evaluate prediction quality. Requirements 2+ years programming experience in Python. Completed coursework in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Algorithm Design, and Data Science. Proficiency with Python libraries such as Pandas, scikit-learn, Keras, TensorFlow, or PyTorch. Good understanding of databases and API-based data ETL operations. Strong knowledge of Linux or Unix-like OS. Excellent Python coding skills, ability to handle large datasets, and familiarity with web frameworks like Django and Flask. Experience with git repositories. Desired Skills Knowledge of DevOps tools and practices. Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Familiarity with agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines. Proficiency in MS Office applications. Strong communication skills. Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks. Ability to obtain or hold a security clearance; US citizenship required. Education BS in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related field.
