In this position, you will perform complex vocational nursing duties under the supervision of the Unit RN and Nurse Manager, ensuring high-quality patient care. Your responsibilities will include medication administration, treatments, patient education, and thorough documentation. The role requires a proactive approach and the ability to handle advanced skills such as gastrostomy tubes, Foley catheters, and tracheostomies.

Required Skills:

  • Valid Texas nursing license (LVN)
  • Minimum 1 year, preferably 2+ years, of direct care nursing experience
  • Proficiency in medication management and patient treatments
  • Competence in advanced skills like gastrostomy, Foley, and tracheostomy care
  • Ability to pass background checks, drug screening, and FBI fingerprinting
  • Current CPR certification
  • Valid photo ID and TB documentation

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Experience with computer data entry and electronic health records
  • Knowledge of diverse patient care procedures
  • Strong communication and patient education skills

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Licensed to practice nursing in Texas
  • At least 1 year of direct care nursing experience, with 2+ years preferred

Other Requirements:

  • Must be able to work a rotational schedule from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, with every third weekend off
  • Willingness to undergo COVID-19 testing
  • Ability to meet all compliance requirements prior to start date
  • Travel and licensure-related reimbursements when applicable

This position offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $37.50, with weekly pay via direct deposit, comprehensive medical benefits, paid sick time, and a robust referral bonus program. The contract begins on February 1, 2026, with a minimum duration of 24 weeks, and includes ongoing support from a dedicated team committed to your success.
