Legal Assistant/Paralegal
We are seeking a detail-oriented Legal Assistant with experience in intellectual property law to support multiple attorneys. This role requires strong knowledge of patent and trademark procedures and the ability to manage a wide range of legal administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive administrative support to multiple attorneys
Prepare, review, and electronically file patent and trademark documents with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO)
Draft and format legal documents and responses
Organize and maintain physical and electronic legal files
Manage docket deadlines and monitor case progress
Conduct preliminary patent and trademark searches
Assist with billing, time entry, and other administrative tasks as needed
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Prior legal administrative experience, preferably in intellectual property
Strong understanding of patent and trademark processes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
