Legal Assistant / Paralegal
Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Legal Assistant / Paralegal to support our legal team. The ideal candidate will assist with various legal tasks, ensuring efficient case management and facilitating communication between clients, attorneys, and external parties.
Key Responsibilities - 80% legal assistant work, 20% paralegal work
- Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, and contracts
- Conduct legal research to support case preparation and strategy
- Maintain organized case files and manage documentation
- Communicate with clients to gather information and provide updates on case status
- Schedule appointments, meetings, and court dates for attorneys
- File legal documents with court and ensure compliance with legal procedures
- Assist in the discovery process by organizing evidence and preparing exhibits
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience as a legal assistant or paralegal
- Familiarity with employment law and litigation processes
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite
