Who We're Looking For

You're a detail-driven investment professional who excels at conducting research, analyzing data, and supporting portfolio decisions with accuracy and efficiency. With experience across asset classes and investment strategies, you contribute to due diligence efforts, manager reviews, and internal reporting with clarity and precision.

You take initiative, communicate effectively, and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced, research-oriented environment.

If you're looking to grow your impact in investment analysis and support a high-performing advisory team—this role is for you.

About the Role

This role supports the Investment Research team by reviewing investment opportunities, conducting ongoing due diligence, and providing in-depth market analysis across asset classes including equities, fixed income, real assets, and alternatives. You'll support portfolio managers and client-facing teams with timely data, research, and investment commentary, and contribute to the core equity strategy by monitoring securities, sectors, and industry developments.

You'll also help prepare economic outlooks and investment reviews, assist in investment oversight and trading, and serve as a knowledge partner to internal teams and the Investment Policy Committee.

What You'll Do
  • Review and evaluate new investment opportunities for inclusion on the First Western investment platform.
  • Conduct due diligence on existing outside investment managers and analyze prospective client investment portfolios.
  • Prepare quarterly market and economic updates to support client meetings and business development efforts at the Profit Center (PC) level.
  • Apply broad knowledge across all asset classes—including equities, fixed income, private equity, absolute return, and real assets.
  • Explain complex investment strategies clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in the oversight and trading of investment accounts while maintaining compliance with applicable regulations and internal policies.
  • Continuously expand investment knowledge, think critically, and operate with limited oversight.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of relevant investment experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Bloomberg, Morningstar Direct, and investment platforms.
  • Demonstrated understanding of investment strategies across a variety of asset classes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts clearly to both internal teams and clients.
  • High level of analytical thinking and attention to detail; able to apply sound judgment to resolve a wide range of issues.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment while collaborating effectively across departments.
What We Offer
  • Competitive base salary: $71,000 – $107,000 , plus strong bonus potential.

  • 401(k) plan with employer match.

  • Paid parking and transportation benefits.

  • Comprehensive health and wellness benefits, including:

    • Health savings accounts (HSA)

    • Flexible spending accounts (FSA)

    • Medical, dental, and vision coverage

  • Generous paid time off and bank holidays.

  • Access to training and professional development programs.

  • Sponsorship and support for obtaining professional certifications.

  • A culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and shared success.
