Vaco has partnered with a dynamic organization seeking an Interim Senior Accountant with deep expertise in revenue recognition. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong technical accounting skills, and is comfortable working across departments to ensure compliance with ASC606 standards.
Job Title: Interim Senior Accountant – Revenue Recognition
Location: Chandler, AZ (Hybrid)
Pay Rate: $40 - $55 per hour, depending on experience
Project Length: Contract-to-hire preferred
Responsibilities include:
Apply ASC606 and company revenue recognition policies to customer contracts
Review customer contracts and invoices for accuracy and compliance
Assist with month-end close, financial analysis, and general ledger entries
Prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts
Provide monthly income statement and balance sheet analysis
Support internal controls and SOX404 compliance
Participate in special projects and ad hoc reporting
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
5+ years of accounting experience
Strong understanding of ASC606 and SOX404
Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables)
Ability to work independently and cross-functionally
Strong communication and organizational skills
