Job Description

Valley Vista for Nursing & Rehab is seeking a Housekeeper to join our skilled nursing facility in Newton, IA.

Perform a variety of light cleaning and organizational tasks to maintain a safe and orderly environment.

• Part-Time | 3 days/week, morning shift

Responsibilities:

• Follow established Floor Technician service procedures to maintain facility cleanliness and safety.
• Perform a variety of floor care tasks, including stripping, waxing, buffing hard-surface floors, and maintaining carpeted areas.
• Collect soiled linen from the facility and residents, and operate washing machines to launder items according to hygiene standards.
• Fold, hang, and organize residents' personal linen and clothing; transport and distribute items to residents' rooms.
• Ensure clothing is properly stored in closets and drawers, maintaining residents' personal spaces in an orderly manner.
• Adhere to all infection control and safety protocols while handling linens and performing cleaning duties.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a floor technician, cleaning, light maintenance, or other related fields
• Familiarity with cleaning materials and equipment
