Great Rivers Greenway needs volunteers to help with our annual Mary Meachum Freedom Crossing Celebration on Saturday, September 27th. Mary Meachum and her husband, Reverend John Berry Meachum, were American abolitionists who dedicated their lives to educating and freeing enslaved people. Volunteers are needed for a variety of different tasks, including setting up tables and chairs in the morning, welcoming attendees during the event, and more. Please see the shifts below for more information on each.
Shifts are 1.5 hours in length.
Please dress for the weather including closed toe shoes. Please bring a water bottle and sunscreen. We will provide water, snacks, and additional sunscreen.
