Position Summary As a Sales Associate at The UPS Store, you will play a crucial role as the first point of contact for customers, providing exceptional service and ensuring a positive experience. Your responsibilities will include assisting customers with their shipping, printing, and business service needs. In this engaging position, you will: Handle package processing and operate various office equipment. Manage point-of-sale transactions accurately and efficiently. Key Responsibilities: Deliver outstanding customer service to walk-in customers and respond to telephone inquiries. Implement best practices established by The UPS Store franchise and Kabelin Shipping Company. Maintain daily operations and uphold high housekeeping standards. Communicate effectively with team members and management. Ensure merchandising standards are consistently met. Address customer questions and provide comprehensive information on products and services. Process customer transactions efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system. Follow packaging requirements to ensure the safety of customers' products. Coordinate with the UPS driver for secure pickups, especially for high-value items. Assist customers with various projects such as copying, faxing, laminating, and binding. Collaborate with our print specialist on customer print orders. Manage and sell customer mailboxes. Balance end-of-day cash drawers accurately. Knowledge and Skills Required: Strong written and verbal communication abilities. Excellent problem-solving skills. Professional attitude and appearance. Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Physical capability to lift a minimum of 60 pounds and reach above head. Willingness to stand for up to 8-10 hours during shifts.
