This position requires strong sales skills, knowledge of supply chain management, and the ability to navigate the complexities of logistics and transportation sales.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with shippers and carriers to facilitate efficient freight movement.
• Negotiate rates and terms with carriers to ensure competitive pricing and service quality.
• Utilize EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) systems for seamless communication and documentation.
• Manage the entire freight process from booking shipments to tracking deliveries.
• Collaborate with internal teams to optimize logistics solutions and improve service delivery.
• Analyze market trends to identify new business opportunities in transportation sales.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring client satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate records of transactions, communications, and pricing agreements in logistics software.

Requirements

• Proven experience in freight brokerage or a related field is preferred.
• Strong background in supply chain management and logistics operations.
• Excellent sales skills with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
• Familiarity with carrier sales processes and transportation management systems.
• Proficient in using software tools for tracking shipments and managing logistics data.
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and partners.
• Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
