* Prepares and processes archival collections following standards and best practices; enters data for existing and new collections; and updates collection records in ArchivesSpace.* Coordinates with donors and accessions new materials for the archives.* Responsible for stacks management: location tracking, filing, boxing, labeling, shelving, shifting, and related tasks as assigned.* Coordinates and transports materials from the Drucker Archives storage locations to the Special Collections Reading Room at The Claremont Colleges Library for researchers and ensures the materials’ safe return to their storage location.* Responds to reference and research inquiries in coordination with the Drucker Scholar regarding Peter F. Drucker and the Drucker Archives history for both internal and external patrons.* Assists users in-person and by telephone, chat, and email.* Carries out research within the Drucker Archives collections as requested.* Collaborates with Executive Director of the Drucker Institute, Director of Operations at The Drucker Institute, Drucker School of Management faculty, and related CGU staff to assess materials and establish priorities for digitization, in alignment with the fragility and age of materials as well as copyright law.* Organizes patron photocopy and digitization requests; coordinates requests for digitization of materials with library digital production unit; tracks requests and payments in the Aeon system; and delivers materials to users’ Aeon accounts. Maintains clear and responsive communication with users of the Drucker Archives.* Prepares reports, statistics, and other metrics.* Perform other related duties as assigned.* MLS or MLIS with a concentration in Archives from an ALA-accredited program OR* MA in Archives, MA in History with an Archival Certificate, OR* Comparable educational background and experience (relevant subject expertise combined with professional library education and archival experience).* Intermediate knowledge of entering/importing data into, and exporting finding aids from, an archival collection management system such as ArchivesSpace or Archivists’ Toolkit.* Basic knowledge and understanding of archival principles.* Strong written and oral communication skills.* Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.* A strong public service orientation assisting archives users from diverse backgrounds in collegial, collaborative, and diverse environments.* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.* Keen attention to detail; demonstrated problem solving skills and flexibility.* Experience working with an archival content management system such as Archivist’s Toolkit or ArchivesSpace.* Familiarity with digital asset management systems (DAMS) such as CONTENTdm.This job description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification.
