Opportunity Snapshot:

• Compensation: $25-32/hour
• Location: Artesia, NM
• Assignment Duration: 12 months+
• Work Schedule: 9/80 - 40 hours+

Qualifications:

• 0-3 years experience
• Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent combination of education in technical related field is required
• Good judgment and decision-making skills.
• Intermediate knowledge of pipeline systems and ability to apply this knowledge
• Good knowledge of electrical practices and instrumentation and instrument loop diagrams
• Working knowledge of PLC and HMI (human machine interface) programming
• Ability to effectively communicate with others, both written and verbal communication, basic reading and writing skills, ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
• Some special training related to Drafting & Design is preferred
• Work Conditions: Office and field based. Petroleum refinery, warehouse/plant environment, out-of-doors environment, and driver-based environments including but not limited to chemicals, pressure vessels, tanks, rotating equipment, and working in confined spaces

Responsibilities:

• Assists in developing CAD standards
• Maintains drawings and drawing systems
• Possess a good knowledge of industry standards
• Performs design and drafting assignments related to the refineries
• Monitors outside contractor drawing compliance

Client Overview:

Our Client is a Fortune 500 company and an independent petroleum refiner that focuses primarily on producing high-value light products such as gasoline, diesel fuel, jet fuel, specialty lubricant products and specialty and modified asphalt. They own and operate several refineries located primarily in Southwestern United States and market their products to this area, as well as the Rocky Mountains, extending into the Pacific Northwest and other neighboring Plains states.
