Direct Support Professional - The Arc of Cape May County

(These positions are located in Cape May County).

Our DSPs have the great experience of supporting individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities to live their most successful lives. • Must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record, a High School Diploma or GED, be able to work weekends, and a desire to make a difference in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities!
• $20.50 per hour after completion of the first week of orientation (approximately 40 hours at $16.07). We provide various trainings including CPR/FA and medication training.
• The typical shifts for these full-time positions are either 3pm-11pm or 11pm-9am in our residential programs. These positions are full-time (at least 40 hours per week) and include weekends.
• Once you join our team as a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you'll have paid training and orientation sessions to gain skills in areas pertaining to developmental disabilities, medication dispensing, CPR/FA, crisis management, behavior supports, documentation, and other job-related topics.

Here's a brief summary of the benefits offered: Health, dental, and vision benefits are available on the first day of the month after 60 days of full-time employment. The agency offers a two different plans with Aetna, one of them being a HSA plan. Employer paid group term life insurance is available to you after five months of full-time employment. You can enroll in the Principal Retirement Plan immediately, and be eligible for up to 3% matching contributions after a year of employment. There are nine residential holidays that staff are compensated either time and half or double time for hours worked on these days. We offer personal time-off, vacation time, and sick time.
