Are you a detail-oriented Cost Accountant with a passion for manufacturing cost accounting and ERP systems? Do you have hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and a strong grasp of GAAP principles? If so, we want you on our team!

About the Role:

As a Cost Accountant, you will be responsible for implementing and managing the inventory costing system in our new Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations ERP system. Youll work closely with production teams to ensure accurate costing, analyze financial data, and drive cost efficiencies. This is a high-impact role that requires strong analytical skills, manufacturing cost expertise, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

What Youll Do:

• Actively participate in the inventory costing implementation for our ERP system.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of standard costs for inventory items including bulk, intermediate, and finished goods.
• Perform month-end close activities related to cost accounting and inventory valuation.
• Analyze production costs, variances, and financial data to support decision-making.
• Collaborate with production teams to ensure proper routes and resource identification.
• Review and validate raw materials, BOMs, and cost rolls.
• Assist in the management of the excess and obsolete inventory review process.
• Support financial audits and ensure compliance with GAAP.
• Improve processes and controls related to manufacturing costs and inventory valuation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in accounting or finance (CPA preferred).
• 5+ years of cost accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong ERP experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
• Expertise in manufacturing cost accounting, batch processing, and inventory valuation.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with costing/production software.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
