Schedule / Expected Work Hours:
Full-time, Monday to Friday. Travel may be required to job sites.

Job Summary
As a Carpenter at Holmes Building Services, youll play a key role in executing construction tasks from framing to finish work. Your skill in reading blueprints, shaping materials, and installing custom fixtures ensures our projects meet the high standards of quality were known for.

Responsibilities
1. Construction Tasks:

• Perform carpentry tasks including framing, installing doors and windows, and finish work (e.g., trim and molding)
• Interpret blueprints and construction plans to meet project specifications
• Measure, cut, and assemble wood, plastic, and other materials
• Install cabinets, shelves, stairs, and countertops

2. Repair and Maintenance:

• Assess and repair damaged structures or fixtures
• Conduct routine maintenance for longevity and performance

3. Safety and Compliance:

• Follow all safety protocols and regulations on-site
• Ensure compliance with building codes and industry standards

4. Collaboration:

• Work closely with teammates and subcontractors
• Communicate progress and needs to supervisors and PMs

5. Tool Maintenance:

• Maintain carpentry tools and equipment for safety and efficiency

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven carpentry experience in the construction industry
• Strong blueprint and plan reading skills
• Skilled in carpentry techniques, tools, and material handling
• Able to measure, cut, and assemble accurately
• Physically capable of lifting and standing for extended periods
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and team-minded
