The Clinical Pharmacy Care Center (CPCC) is a clinical pharmacy call center that services Medicare, Medicaid and Commercial member populations. The members we reach out to have been identified as having gaps in care. Our goal is to close those gaps through education and assistance. Title: Call Center Pharmacist Consultant Location: This role enables associates to work virtually full-time, with the exception of required in-person training sessions. Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 12:00 pm – 8:30 pm EST. Build the Possibilities. Make an extraordinary impact. Call Center Pharmacist Consultant is responsible for supporting disease management programs and physician care plans through drug therapy evaluation and consultation for program participants. How You Will Make an Impact Provide evaluation of member Rx needs and therapies through review of medication history to determine if medications are appropriate. Assess member compliance with plan through direct contact with members and their physicians. Determine potential barriers to compliance and identify solutions to overcome barriers. Ensure that members understand appropriate use of current prescriptions. Review medications with physicians when therapies do not meet national standards and counsel physicians around alternative medications. Serve as a resource to the clinical team in disease management and other clinical areas. Minimum Requirements Requires BA/BS in Pharmacy and a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience; or any combination of education and experience that provides an equivalent background. Current valid active and unrestrictive RPh license required. May require response during non-standard hours. Preferred Skills, Capabilities And Experiences PharmD preferred. Experience with direct patient counseling or education preferred. Call Center Experience strongly preferred.
