Summary

We are seeking an Aruba AirWave Wireless Survey Engineer to perform on-site wireless assessments in a factory environment in Austin, TX. This role focuses on documenting existing wireless conditions, validating access point (AP) placement, and ensuring survey deliverables align with Aruba and Mist environments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site wireless surveys (active/passive) across the factory floor and adjacent areas.
• Document existing RF conditions, configurations, and coverage gaps.
• Record and update current AP placement and infrastructure details.
• Provide clear survey documentation and annotated floor plans in line with Aruba AirWave and Mist standards.
• Review findings with client stakeholders and answer technical questions.
• Follow site safety protocols (PPE, escorts, access rules).

Qualifications

Must-Have

• Experience with wireless site surveys in production or industrial environments.
• Familiarity with Aruba AirWave and Mist.
• Ability to walk factory floors for extended periods.
• Strong documentation skills (clear, client-ready reports).

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with survey tools (Ekahau, AirMagnet, Sidekick) and spectrum analysis.
• Exposure to manufacturing or large campus environments.
• Basic understanding of cabling standards.
• Background check eligibility and EHS compliance.
