Job Description

Our client, the technological leader in multilayer polymer film (MLP) capacitor sector, is seeking an Accounting Clerk to join their team for a 13 week assignment. As an Accounting Clerk, you will be part of the finance department supporting various teams. The ideal candidate will have a collaborative team-oriented mindset, excellent organizational skills, and a hands-on can-do attitude which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Accounting Clerk

Location: Lynchburg, VA

Pay Range: $22-$24 per hour

What's the Job?

• Perform a variety of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable related tasks including inputting of bills, check-runs, and Purchase Order Entry.
• Ensure audit backup is sufficient and assist with monthly close activities, including journal entries and bank reconciliations.
• Engage in customer interaction and sales order entry into the ERP system, maintaining daily email communication.
• Responsible for customer invoicing and performing other accounts receivable duties, including receiving payments and AR collections.
• Maintain accounting and financial documents and filings while adhering to established accounting standards.
• Assist with other office-related duties as needed.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent years of experience) in Accounting or Finance.
• 1-2 years of accounting experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
