Airbus Mobile Manufacturing Site (MMS) is looking for Aircraft Systems Installers to join our Flowline Production Team in Mobile, AL. This position is responsible for the systems installation of the aircraft for the final assembly line, completing electrical installations and connections which include Basic Aircraft installation, Cabin Installations, Cockpit and Cargo and Ground Test. The team at the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing facilities help assemble the finest aircraft in the world, along two (soon to be three) production lines for the A220 and A320 Family aircraft. The Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility for commercial aircraft is located at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley, opened in 2015, producing A320 Family aircraft and added a second product line for the A220 in 2019. The facility strengthens the U.S. aerospace industry and is part of Airbus’ strategy to enhance its global competitiveness by meeting the growing needs of its customers in the United States and beyond. Responsibilities include preparing mechanical components at the station/work place/aircraft parking space; installation and manufacture: mark, prepare, assemble, adapt, torque and secure mechanical components and parts; inspect bonding as per order/GTI, drawing and specifications; check system functions; specialized installation in areas such as VTP and HTP installation, Hydraulic lines installation, Belly fairing and Flap installation, Air conditioning and Fuel system, MLG & Tank Test, Gauging Test, and other tasks as needed. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, ability to complete Airbus training after recruitment, minimum 2 years experience in Aviation Production or equivalent, knowledge of System/Mechanical tasks, LEAN practices, and physical ability to perform job duties including working at heights and confined spaces.
